Each PCL Pathfinder groups information resources of all types into an easy-to-use subject guide. For example, the "Small Business" pathfinder lists books, magazines, websites, and federal, state, and local agencies which may be of assistance in establishing and running a small business. The Pathfinders can't list all the available resources, of course, but they do list many of the best to help you begin your research.
Sometimes more than one Pathfinder may be of interest on a given subject -- for example, if you were planning to start a business, you might wish to look at the "Business Plans," "Business Resources," "Company Information," "Government Information," "Demographics," "Forms," "Patents," and "Small Business" pathfinders. Be sure and look at the "Related Pathfinders" section at the bottom of each page to help you find all the pathfinders that might be of interest to you.
The terms and phrases listed in the subject headings section of each Pathfinder can be used to search for more materials in the library's catalog and research databases.
If you need further assistance, please ask a librarian.
