These simple stars are easy to make and suitable for all kinds of celebrations--birthdays, graduations, showers, holidays, etc. We will show you how to make one in this FREE half-hour workshop. Ilse Gebhard is back with colorful photos of butterflies and moths found in a rural Kalamazoo backyard. Her hour-long presentation covers their structural features and how to tell them apart, as well as their similar life cycles and a general overview of habitat requirements to attract them to your yard. Ilse will provide examples of specific butterflies and moths, along with their caterpillar food plants. Also covered are some of their habits and the threats to their survival. Have a look at her exhibit along with books to identify them and attract them to your yard. Free handouts of plants lists, where to purchase them locally, and milkweed seeds.

Rob Heasley and Dennis Durham will discuss Parchment in the past and Parchment in the future. Before you attend the plays on the Stage in Kindleberger Park, join us in an afternoon of reminiscing.
