Rob Heasley started taking pictures on film in 1960, and has never stopped.   He has processed film, printed in the lab, and used large format cameras.   An early adopter of digital photography, he has explored the medium for many years.   Heasley is not a professional, but is very interested in the art of recording light.
In two 1-hour sessions, he will cover how digital cameras work, how cameras ID your photos, along with kinds of storage media (memory chips, Sony Memory Stick), and then finish with how to organize, edit, and store your photos using Picasa, an image organizer and image viewer for organizing and editing digital photos, plus an integrated photo-sharing website.
You must be familiar with keyboard & mouse, and basic Windows functionality: saving files, creating folders and other skills related to file manipulation.

It is recommended that you take both classes, June 6 & 13.
Room for 8 registrants only.  Sessions conducted on laptops in the Community Room.  Cost is $5.00 per session, with a 1 gig flash drive included.  Register at the Library Information Desk.  Payment required at time of registration.  Sorry, no waiting list.  Call 343-7747 for more information.
