Peace Corps Adventures

Find out what it’s like to serve with the Peace Corps! Stories will be shared by Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, including Jackie Ladwein and Rick Johnson, who served in Liberia in the 1960s, and Emily Nguyen, who served more recently in Guinea. We’ll see a “Day in the Life” video made by a current Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Peru. Information on how to volunteer will be provided. And we’ll have a chance to sample a Liberian dish made by one of the Liberian members of the greater Kalamazoo community!

The format of the program will be a panel discussion with slides. Relevant objects will also be on display. This program is designed for adults and teens, but families with interested younger children are also welcome.
