The limit for Hoopla is now 10 checkouts per cardholder per month, and the limit for OverDrive is 7 checkouts per cardholder per month.

FREE OR LOW COST INTERNET SERVICE DURING THE SHUTDOWN
Charter
Charter Communication announced Friday morning it will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a subscription. A service of up to 100 megabits per second will be provided. Those interested in enrolling are asked to call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.
Comcast Internet Essentials
In response to emergency measures associated with Coronavirus (COVID-19), Internet Essentials will increase speeds from 15/2 Mbps to 25/3 Mbps for all customers. This speed increase will happen automatically - no action is required by customers. In addition, new customers will receive two months of free service.
AT&T is offering low-cost wireline home Internet service to qualifying households:

With at least one resident who participates in the U.S. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and
-
With an address in AT&T’s 21-state service area, at which we offer wireline home Internet service, and
-
Without outstanding debt for AT&T fixed Internet service within the last six months or outstanding debt incurred under this program.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on society, multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have made updates to their low-cost internet service programs to ensure individuals and families stay connected to the internet during this challenging time. We’ve updated our low-cost internet service options tool to reflect these changes.
COVID19 Shutdown - 3/22/2020 Update
The Library is closed until further notice. Please keep all library materials at home until the library reopens - no overdue fees will be assessed.
Here are updates on library events as well as resources to use until the happy day the library is open again!
All March and April events have been cancelled. We'll reschedule as many as we can, once a normal schedule has resumed.
AARP Tax Help. The National AARP Foundation has suspended service at all tax-aide sites until further notice. This cancels all appointments scheduled at the Parchment Library. If appointments can be re-scheduled, we will call each client.
The Making of Parchment. This will be certainly be rescheduled.
March 28 Book Sale. No plans to reschedule (as of this writing). The next book sale will be Saturday, July 11.
Climate Change from a Faith Perspective (3 events). We hope to reschedule an event featuring all three presenters near Earth Day in April 2021.
Author visit: Stephen Mack Jones. We hope to reschedule his visit as part of the tour for his third book when it is released.
Yum's the Word: Water & Wheat. We hope to reschedule in July, August, or September.
Parchment Book Group. Since the April meeting is cancelled, all book selections will be pushed back a month. See the library's calendar for more information.
