Neither Wolf Nor Dog is the most successful non-Hollywood Native American film in a generation.  It was filmed at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, and the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation (all in South Dakota) with a cast led by Native American actor and Lakota Elder Dave Bald Eagle.  The film is based on the novel of the same name by Kent Nerburn, which is available to read or listen to on Hoopla.

For Native American Heritage Month we have made arrangements with the distributors to stream the film during the week of November 15-21.  This streaming event is open to 30 households; a Parchment Community Library card (of any type) is required for registration to be confirmed.  Once registered, you will receive a link to view the film on your own device during the streaming week.  There will also be an opportunity to submit questions online to the director.

The film is not rated; director Steven Lewis Simpson says that it falls "somewhere between PG and PG-13."
