READING TOGETHER 2021
Reading Together 2021 features the works of Jacqueline Woodson, award-winning author of more than two dozen books for young adults, middle graders, and children. Featured books are The Other Side (picture book), The Day You Begin/ El Día En Que Descubres Quién Eres! (picture book in English or Spanish), Harbor Me (middle grade fiction), Brown Girl Dreaming (middle grade/young adult memoir in verse), Another Brooklyn (young adult/adult fiction), and Red at the Bone (adult novel). You can check all of these books out from the Parchment Community Library. Some are also available on Hoopla and Overdrive. The Parchment Community Library will host a Reading Together Book Discussion on Thursday, March 4th at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom. The community is invited to discuss any of Jacqueline Woodson's books. Please register to receive an email reminder with the Zoom links the day before the discussion (registration is requested but not required).

Jacqueline Woodson will speak to our community online twice on Wednesday March 10th. She will present Craft Talk: Behind the Books at 3:00 p.m. Her keynote address, The Power of Story, will be at 7:00 p.m. Registration is required for both presentations. The registration link will be available on the Kalamazoo Public Library Reading Together site, along with more details about Jacqueline Woodson, her books, and other Reading Together activities.
