PARCHMENT WASSAILING &
THE HOLIDAY CHOCOLATE

Always the first Wednesday in December, from 6:00-8:00 pm.  In 1995, the Parchment Garden Club hosted the first Holiday Chocolate at the library, serving homemade hot chocolate and cookies to Parchment residents. In 2005, the Holiday Chocolate was expanded to include Parchment Wassailing, in which local businesses and organizations offer holiday treats and entertainment to all visitors. This year's event has some changes in response to COVID.

The Holiday Chocolate 2021

Enter the library through the front doors. Listen to the Mall City Harmonizers singing holiday songs in four-part harmony on the main level of the library. This will be your last chance to purchase tickets for the fabulous Friends of the Parchment Community Library's Holiday Basket & Quilt Raffle before the drawing at 7:45 p.m. (You don't need to be present to win.)  Pick up your homemade hot chocolate and cookies as you exit through the back door. Enjoy your treats outdoors as you admire the brilliant display of holiday lights in the Kindleberger Park sunken garden behind the library and listen to music of the season performed by the Western Michigan University Tuba Christmas Ensemble!
