Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Parchment Community Library are men and women who value the services the library provides to our community, and who participate in fund-raising events to support library programs.
The Friends meet at the library on the 3rd Monday of the month at 2:00 pm, in the following months:
January, February, March, June, July, September, October, and November
We Make A Difference!
In recent years, the Friends have raised several thousand dollars a year for new equipment, programming, and materials.
Renewed Book Page
The Friends renewed the library’s subscription to “Book Page,” a monthly publication available to library patrons for free.
Paid for Programming
The Friends paid for library programming for adults and children, including the Summer Reading Program.
Grew the Collection
The Friends purchased games and play equipment for the Library’s collection.
Behind the Scenes
The Friends purchase helpful items that help the Library provide excellent service, such as book ends and display units.
How to Join Us
Everyone is welcome to join the Friends! There are two ways to become a Friend:

Volunteer
Become an active volunteer.
Membership Levels
Membership levels are listed below and expire on December 31 each year. (Membership forms are available at the library.)
- Senior Membership (age 65+) | $4.00
- Individual Membership | $5.00
- Family Membership | $10.00
- Patron Membership | $25.00
We appreciate your charitable giving! If a monetary donation is not possible but you would like to support the mission of the Friends of the library, many volunteer opportunities are available. If you are interested in becoming a Friend, please fill out a Membership Form or leave contact information with the library staff.
