1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Help your child prepare for one of life’s biggest milestones: KINDERGARTEN. The goal is to read 1,000 books (yes, you can repeat books) before your little one starts kindergarten.

Great Michigan Read
The featured book for the Michigan Humanities Great Michigan Read in 2025-26 is Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant by Curtis Chin. Book kits are available to be checked out by book clubs through August, 2026. Call the library for more information.
