1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Help your child prepare for one of life’s biggest milestones: KINDERGARTEN. The goal is to read 1,000 books (yes, you can repeat books) before your little one starts kindergarten.

Great Michigan Read
The featured book for the Michigan Humanities Great Michigan Read in 2025-26 is Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant by Curtis Chin. Look for library programming around this book from January 5th through February 9th 2026.
