About Ben Traverse:
History and the cultural significance of traditional music has been the center of Earthwork Music Collective member Ben Traverse’s passion for music since they started playing. In addition to releasing multiple albums that are historical presentations in their own rights, Traverse has brought educational programming to institutions across Michigan and beyond at places like the Ann Arbor District Library, Reed City Public Schools, and the Songwriters Summit for Resilience.
Ben’s passion for music education and cultural preservation is as boundless as the Great Lakes sky. They’ve made it their mission to collect, teach, and breathe new life into traditional song, ensuring these cultural heirlooms don’t gather dust. Through community outreach, rollicking performances and intimate house concerts, Ben brings people closer to their roots.
